Well, you know, just hanging out here in Normal. My roommate, Mandy (for those of you less aqcuainted with her), is watching a terrible "Big Momma's House" knockoff PLAY (as in "not even a real movie")on video for the FOURTH TIME THIS WEEK and quoting it.
I've had my share of college, I'll tell you that much.
My dearest Jessica Barkwill came to visit on Friday so that we could see Annie Rix's play, called
Necessary Targets. It's about Bosnian refugees, it makes you cry a little, and Annie has talent up the wah-zoo. Plus, she's got killer Bosnian accent skills, and she's cute. We went to the play with Vanessa, oh and Jeff Derrico and Nicole Boccard who came to visit. Then Vanessa took Jess and I to some party with her floor but while we were all getting ready in her room, she left and took three shots. So basically she was already drunk-ish when we went out, which, needless to say, didn't make Jessi or I very excited. So Vanessa got trashed at this party, while Jessi and I felt very out-of-place (and relatively sober) among dirty dancing girls in revealing tops.
I'm getting frustrated with Vanessa. And I think she's getting irritated with me.
That was Friday. Come Saturday, and Molly Hart came to visit (a junior at West, blonde, dated Will Robinson for a while, is in That One Group? Anyway...) and we went and saw Annie's show on Saturday night. Her best performance, she later said.
Then Molly and I left Annie, who was losing her voice (eek!), and we went to a Theatre party with Caitlin Boylan and some other kool kats we know. It was enjoyable. And Molly and I ended up chit-chatting 'til 6 in the morning. Oh, but it was really like 5, because we were awake during the time change. Don't be confused.
So then on Sunday, nothing happened, and, um, I guess that's it.
It was mozzarella stick day in the cafeteria today. My favorite holiday.
To leave you with a new song for this post, I will also give you a link so that you can listen to it. It's by my love, Regina Spektor, called "
Samson." Give it a listen.
Oh, and let's remember that there are like, negative weeks until summer.
Ok, but really there's 37 days, 13 hours, and 49 minutes. Whew.
I love you all.
We need a new title.
