fruit salads diet coke and other ways to procrastinate

darlings.

i sort of keep forgetting that we have this. well, not forgetting, but thinking i'm going to get emails then realizing that i should be posting on this/reading this. it takes me a while to catch on to technological things.

so this weekend was my formal for pi phi and i brought my prom dress from last year down after spring break and forced j wo to borrow a shirt and tie, got all dolled up and went to my house to catch the bus. after waiting in line to get on, the bus driver states that he will allow no more people on the bus because he is over capacity right as i am placing my freshly painted toesies onto the steps. so they tell the six of us that cant get on that they'll order us taxis but at this point i've lost interest in the whole thing. my only real friends in the house (not the ones that its still pretty fake when i talk to) werent even going to be there and a mutual friend of j wizzles and myself was having a party so we decided to screw formal and go there instead. best. decision. ever. not only was the night an absolute blast, when laura fairbank got to the party after having been at formal (she was required to go) she told me that it was unbelievably boring and stupid. so....moral of the story:

there isnt really one, but that was a really long description that i realized had no real purpose whatsoever.

in other news, i survived my first tornado yesterday. i was at work when they told us to all evacuate to the basement where we stayed for about 45 minutes. needless to say i was unbelievably scared but i think i probably didnt show it too much.

i have tests tomorrow and wednesday and i am completely unprepared for them. luckily i have discovered that i dont really dislike coffee as much as i used to and if i put soy milk in it, i almost enjoy the taste. so looks like i'll be making full use of this.

this weekend is mom's weekend so the majah is coming down and we're going to go out to dinner with my friends and their moms and then out to the bars. thats right, you read correctly, deb hornell will be going to a bar...with me. i honestly have no idea how this is going to end up but you can be sure i'll be regailing you all with the stories as soon as she leaves.

now i must register for next years classes, then get all dressed up for stupid chapter, then begin my night of endless studies.

much love to all.

ps stephanie i cannot even describe how jealous i am that you are living in beacon hill next year. when i was in boston last summer i spent half a day just walking around there looking at houses with my sister and picking out ones we want to live in

i'm going to start signing off with a quote (we'll see how long that actually lasts):

"think where man's glory most begins and ends, and say my glory was i had such friends" - william butler yeats
